This historic Baton Rouge home has three different mid-century themed designer bedrooms with luxurious gel foam King and Queen beds. All bedrooms have hard wood floors, hotel-quality linens, leafy house plants, and sleek flat-screen TVs. Large windows in all bedrooms allow for plenty of natural light, and small details like a stylish area rug and high-end accents make both spaces feel warm and inviting. Large closets with dressers allow for large hanging and folded wardrobes.

 

☆☆ BATHROOMS ☆☆

This stylish home has two new full bathrooms with high pressure rain shower heads, mirrored vanity, hidden & hanging storage, and stunning finishes. Spend all day exploring Baton Rouge, and then come home and enjoy a long, hot shower or tub before settling in for the night. The water pressure is excellent with soft water, towels are hotel-quality, furnished with bathroom basics (like shampoo, conditioner, hand soaps, make-up towels).

 

☆☆ KITCHEN & LOUNGE ☆☆

This one-of-a-kind home is just minutes from LSU, and some of the best local restaurants, cafes and happy hour spots in Baton Rouge. However, on days when you want to stay in and cook at home, this fully furnished kitchen gives you the appliances and enough space to do it comfortably.

 

The modern kitchen features custom cabinets, original countertops, a large sink, dishwasher, and drawers stocked with kitchen basics and utensils. Four seats at the center island create a comfortable snack bar or laptop-friendly workspace.

 

Start your morning by brewing coffee in the coffee maker and using the toaster and blender to make a quick breakfast. Order takeout, enjoy it on the dining tables, and use the microwave to reheat leftovers for a midnight snack.

 

The kitchen dining area with a six person dining table is a great place to serve a family-style dinner. When not eating here, the table is a great spot to play board games or cards, or open your laptop, connect to the high-speed WiFi, and get some work done before heading out for a day of shopping or the big game.

 

Relax in the spacious living room with designer furniture, chic finishes, and lots of natural light. Funky....eclectic...cute house. Best communication and digital guest manual made the stay easy from beginning to end. Neighborhood is close to everything and super cute. We were there for 4 days and never had more than a 5 minute drive to shopping, dining and the LSU campus (graduation for our daughter). Comfy beds....clean. Waffle bar was a nice touch. We had a wonderful stay over Easter at this amazing 1 acre house in the Dales. The accomodations were lovely, the kitchen was well stocked (they even had waffle mix), and everything was clean and in good working order. We made good use of the grill in the backyard and even the piano in the living room. It was the perfect place for our family

Five of us went to Baton Rouge for the LSU vs Ole Miss football game and our time was made event better with is rental! We had room to relax, great outdoor space to start the morning and end the day. The place was spotless, very comfortable and a number of places to gather. We'll be staying here next year!

This was an awesome place to stay for an LSU game. Everything was great with the exception of the shower head. It is a water fall type head, needs to have more pressure. The beds were great and the sofa couch was really good to sleep on. We will for sure stay here again.

If you are looking for a place to stay in the Baton Rouge area, stop your search now and book Kelsey’s place! This was a very unique and beautiful stay! Everything was on point! Decorated with a lot of attention to details! Very elegant, retro, chic! Host was available if we needed anything to make our stay better. The most impressive thing was the amount of space, starting from the front of the house to the back yard (fenced). The kitchen is also huge! Sincerely, this was above and beyond! We highly recommend this place! We would definitely stay here again!!!

It was the perfect house, our home away from home, before leaving for a 90-day trip. The thoughtful items, like the chocolates and waffle station, really show Kelsey went above and beyond to create a nice experience. The location was also great, very close to LSU Lakes and a lot of restaurants we really enjoyed. I would definitely suggest this home to any future guests we have in Baton Rouge.

As an Airbnb Superhost an Ambassador myself, I am always thrilled to see hosts go the extra mile. After checking out of Kelsey‘s place, I noticed that I could not find my iPad. Before I had a chance to call her, Kelsey had already messaged me advising that her cleanup lady had found it and set it aside for me. You gotta love when hospitality and integrity go hand in hand! We were so fortunate that Kelsey’s house was available again for our return trip to Baton Rouge. It is a peaceful, charming home, and we feel so comfortable staying here. Kelsey was great! She was in communication with me from the time I expressed interest and had questions about the home and she remained completely professional and accessible until I checked out. My friend and I were visiting BR (our home town) for Easter weekend and the home was a perfect respite for the two of us. The 2BR/1BA is updated very nicely with modern touches designed for maximum comfort while still maintaining the beauty of the original home and the area. The beds are very comfortable and the amenities provided were great for what we needed. The home was neat and clean (and, admittedly I’m a hotel/AirBnB snob), towels were big, soft, and fluffy, and the home is thoughtfully designed and decorated. It should be noted that this is a duplex and there is another separate unit above the garage. We only saw other people when we happened to be leaving out of the driveway at the same time. This had no bearing on our stay and didn’t affect how we navigated the space. My friend and I enjoyed our stay very much. I’ll be adding this home to my list of favorites for Baton Rouge.

We had the perfect Baton Rouge experience thanks to our time staying here. We loved everything about it—Kelsey is an excellent host. A few of our favorite aspects of staying here: - The hammock in the backyard. - The coffee & waffles in the kitchen. - The yard! It is beautiful and peaceful. - The neighborhood. - The decor throughout the home: a perfect blend of features that are from the home as originally built (the heater in the bathroom, the telephone shelf in the hallway, etc.) and those that are newer (a rainfall shower, kitchen upgrades, etc.) The beds are very comfortable and the TVs are easy to use. The shower and kitchen sink produce warm/hot water quickly. Parking is very convenient. As someone who knows Baton Rouge very well, I would highly recommend this home to anyone who will treasure it. We will definitely be back.

STAY HERE!! The Bamboo Lounge is like stepping onto the set of the TV show Mad Men - Instagram worthy. Not only was Kelsey so accommodating and communicative, the entire space was so well designed - inside and out. Very clean. Perfect location. We had everything we needed to cook our favorite meals. We loved waking up in the morning to the coffee options (French Press too!) then our sunset bike rides around the LSU lake (they have 2 new bikes available for you to use), HUGE yard for our little ones and pup. Will stay again!

We loved our stay in this cute Bungalow! The owner of the bungalow was accessible and made our stay as relaxing as possible. We visited one of the restaurants she recommended and so glad we did! We also made a stop at one of the grocery stores she also recommended and bought several things we could easily cook up in the kitchen. We enjoyed the decor throughout the home and wished we could have stayed longer to have a glass of wine in the patio. It was very inviting! We are so glad our Pomeranian could stay with us. If you’re looking for a spacious place that is inviting and warm, this is the place for you!

This space is absolutely lovely and I mean it is LOVELY. It looks like a really cute movie set, especially with the piano as the centerpiece. There are so many things to love. The deep colors and golden fixtures are just devine, if you're an ambiance kind of person like I am it is fit for your comfort and happiness. If you like the kitchen it is a big twirling kitchen. That means, you can twirl around in it and cook. It has massive space and is very open to the adorable backyard area with a hammock and tables and hanging lights. Both beds are INCREDIBLE. Like just right. I rarely make this long of a review, but this space is worth every single penny! THERE IS A WASHER DRYER in its own space. If you need to do a little office work, there is a nook for you! Get in there if you are ever in Baton Rouge!

Amazing, charming, cool home with vintage touches from original structure, like the tile work & original wood floors - just the most awesome vibe and so tastefully decorated!! I want to book this place on a regular basis because it was like an oasis on top of the fact that it ended up being literally a 1/2 mile from the rent home my 3 boys live in....just one more major bonus! I will DEFINITELY be booking this place again and again, super convenient location in nice older, quiet neighborhood with lots of beautiful trees. Kelsey was a great hostess & always responded quickly :-)
